We are thrilled to say that this group is full to capacity. Watch for the next group later this year. In the meantime, you can join the Be The Bridge facebook group or read Latasha Morrison’s book Be The Bridge.

Be The Bridge is a small group that will engage in a dialogue of racial justice and reconciliation as we go through the Be the Bridge guidebook.
After February 20th, the group will be closed to facilitate trust and relationship.

This group, sponsored by the Journey Center and meeting at The Cove, will commit to 5 months of once a month meetings. We will meet on the 3rd Thursdays from 6:30pm – 8:30pm beginning in January. The flow will look like this:
Meet once a month starting January – May
Month 1 – Whiteness 101: Step 1 & Step 2
Month 2 – Whiteness 101: Step 3 & Step 4
Month 3 – Unit 1: Awareness, Acknowledgement & Lament, Shame & Guilt
Month 4 – Unit 2: Confession, Forgiveness, Repentance
Month 5 – Unit 3: Reparation, Restoration, Reproduction

This group creates a safe space to explore your own perspectives and to hear from others, learn from others, and believe their stories. It brings hope with the sober awareness of what needs to be done and helps you explore what the invitation is for you to respond.
