“Brothers’ Journey” Art Opening

June 9, 2019 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

An art opening, which displays photographs and paintings from two brothers.  The brothers have found inspiration for their art in very different ways.  Stefan captured this through his photography during his world travels.  Tristan uses color, pattern and humor to express his inner self.  The works on display will show their contrasting styles, and love for color. The art displayed cover the period of 2014 to present.

Stefan and Tristan Arcelona were born and raised in San Francisco and continue to live in the City. They have been close all their lives so it no surprise that they find solace through creating art.

Stefan, the older of the two brothers, began his interest in photography as he traveled to countries around the world. He wanted to capture the people and sites from many countries including Amsterdam, Spain, Italy, Egypt, Greece, Peru, Iceland and Mexico.

Tristan started drawing at a very early age, so cartoon characters still occasionally appear in his paintings. “I love capturing the creative human spirit.” Tristan’s love of detail, vibrant colors, patterns and his sense of humor are also evident in his paintings.  While attending college at Long Beach State, San Francisco State and the San Francisco Art Institute, the human figure became more prominent in his drawings, paintings, and large canvases.
