Learn to Meditate: Meditation as Spiritual Practice (on Zoom)

Join us on Saturday, May 9th to discover the life-enhancing benefits of regular meditation practice. All spiritual traditions have some form of meditation practice that may be called by different names. Meditation is a technique and a natural state of consciousness.
In this 60 minute class, you will learn about the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of meditation and learn a simple and natural form of meditation to calm your mind, relax your body and open your heart to the innate peace at the core of your being. Based on ancient, time-tested yogic teachings, these meditation techniques have helped millions of sincere seekers from all traditions and all walks of life to access and live from the innate peace, joy and clarity that indwells us all.
Facilitator: Rev. Ann Hayes, M.Div is a certified meditation instructor, having taught meditation and spiritual practice classes for over 14 years including over 6 years in Sonoma County. Along with her husband, Jeff Collins, she has taught at the Sonoma County Family YMCA, Santa Rosa Junior College, Unity Church, the Angela Center and the Journey Center. Currently she and her husband are leading a regular Monday evening online meditation group. She received a Masters of Divinity and was ordained to teach in 2007 by her teacher, Yogacharya Ellen Grace O’Brian. You can learn more about Ann at the website SantaRosaMeditation.org.
